One of the seven men charged with running gambling operations at speakeasies around the city has pleaded guilty to felony gambling charges.

Dan Donohoe, spokesman for the King County Prosecutor's Office, tells us William J Donnell III pleaded guilty to two counts of felony gambling, and received 50 hours of community service and a $500 fine.

Undercover detectives investigated the speakeasies on Capitol Hill and in Belltown between 2007 and 2009 as part of Operation Big Slick. The investigation resulted in a $217,000 drug bust in South Lake Union.
