Harrell's War Chest: $166,000
City council member Bruce Harrell raised an impressive $30,957 last month, bringing his fundraising total to $166,312---more than $138,000 more than his lone challenger, former Seattle Municipal League chair Brad Meacham, who raised just $4,190 in March, bringing his grand total to $27,770.
Notable Harrell contributors during the past month include:

$150 from Southeast Seattle activist (and density opponent) Mariana Quarnstrom and her husband, Fred;
$75 from King County Council member Larry Gossett;
$100 from city council member Tom Rasmussen;
$300 from Puget Sound Energy (Harrell is head of the council's energy committee);
$250 from former mayor Charley Royer;
$500 from Microsoft VP and education-reform advocate Brad Smith;
