The Most Human Human: Author Brian Christian at Elliot Bay Books

By Anand Balasubrahmanyan March 22, 2011

Tonight, Seattle-based science writer and poet Brian Christian is reading from his new book, The Most Human Human: What Talking to Computers Teaches Us about What it Means to be Alive
.

The book chronicles Christian's experience competing for the 2009 "Most Human Human Award" during the annual Turing Test (a test originally created to prove that computers can "think") and asks fundamental questions about the nature of language and consciousness, affably connecting techno-babble to home-office philosophy.
