Citytank: West Side Story!

By Josh Feit March 29, 2011

Seattle city council member Sally Clark has a great post up at Dan Bertolet's new urbanist blog.

Clark gets creative. Rather than another piece about livable, walkable, transit-oriented Jetsons communities, she turns in a top-seven movie list featuring films that take place in urban settings, working as colorful metaphors for all the different things that make cities great.

P.S. to Sally Clark, West Side Story is my favorite city movie too. About a year ago, in fact, I made a top-10 list—not just of city movies, but of city-inspired arts. I stupidly left West Side Story (and The Catcher in the Rye) off the list, for which I quickly apologized in the comments thread.
