By Jonah Spangenthal-Lee February 16, 2011

Seattle police booked a 19-year-old man into the King County Jail this afternoon in connection with last night's fatal stabbing in West Seattle, a department source tells Seattlecrime.com.

Officers were dispatched to a West Seattle home last night after someone called 911 and reported hearing a man's screams.

At the scene, officers found a man in his 60s, who had sustained several stab wounds to the chest. The man died at the scene.

Less than 24 hours later, police booked the suspect--who does not appear to have any prior criminal record in Washington--into jail at 2:53pm for investigation of homicide.

A police department spokesman would not comment on the arrest, and said police would provide more infortmation tomorrow morning.

Update: SPD Spokesman Sean Whitcomb confirms the arrest.

Police may also be looking for other people who have details about the incident.
