Seattle U Students Warned Of Taxi Cab Sex Assault

Seattle University sent out a warning to students over the weekend after a cab driver sexually assaulted a woman on campus:

This afternoon, Seattle Police officers and Seattle University DPS officer’s, received a report of an indecent liberties incident, which took place in a cab, at approximately 1:30 AM, on January 29th, 2011.  A woman student reported she hailed a cab, from downtown, after attending a social setting and having had some drinks containing alcohol.  The student reported the male cab driver pulled the cab into an SU campus parking garage. The driver locked the vehicle doors, and then fondled the victim sitting in the front seat. The student yelled at the cab driver and escaped the vehicle. The student ran away from the cab and came upon a friend passing by, and both students were able to get cab vehicle information, which has been reported to police.
