McGinn Officially Vetoes Tunnel Agreements

As we reported yesterday, mayor Mike McGinn planned to veto three agreements between the city and the state on the deep-bore tunnel today, the last day for him to do so. This afternoon, he made it official, in a letter to council members outlining his now-familiar reasons for doing so. The veto is fundamentally political theater: The council plans to overturn the veto by an 8-1 vote. You can read McGinn's whole veto letter here.
