A Seattle police officer shot a dog in the 3400 block of 44 Ave SW in West Seattle earlier this afternoon.

We're hearing mixed things about the breed of the dog—police initially believed it was a lab, but now say it might have been a pitbull—and haven't heard anything about the dog's condition.
