Another Council Candidate: Michael Taylor-Judd

By Erica C. Barnett January 12, 2011

Michael Taylor-Judd, a transit advocate (he worked on all four monorail campaigns) and active member of the 34th District Democrats, plans to run for City Council, he told PubliCola today. He'll make an official announcement at tonight's 34th District reorganization meeting.

Taylor-Judd says he doesn't know which council member he plans to challenge, except that it definitely won't be Tim Burgess or Sally Clark. "I'm a big fan of Sally's and I'm looking forward to helping her get reelected," he said.

"I'm going to give it a couple more weeks to get a better sense of the lay of the land," Taylor-Judd said. "I [think] this magical slate of McGinn people is not just going to materialize, but I would like to see who else comes out of the woodwork" before deciding whether to oppose Tom Rasmussen, Bruce Harrell, or Jean Godden, he said.
