KIRO:

The Washington State Patrol will launch a criminal investigation into the Seattle Police officer who kicked a juvenile suspect in October, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News has confirmed. The investigation came at the request of Seattle Police Chief John Diaz earlier Tuesday, a spokesman for the State Patrol said.

In October, a surveillance camera in a convenience store captured undercover Seattle Police Officer James Lee kicking a 17-year-old boy in the groin, chest and face.

Lee is on adminstrative leave.
