Last Night

Last Night: Wild Boar Ravioli

By Wes Walton December 29, 2010

After all the cooking and baking I usually do before the holidays, the last thing I want to do this week is more cooking and baking.  So last night my partner and I  decided to venture out of West Seattle and check out Table 219 on Broadway. As huge fans of their sister restaurant, Geraldine's Counter in Columbia City, we had very high expectations going in and they did not disappoint.

The space is very inviting and the wait staff is awesome.  They even bring you some truffled popcorn when you sit down, which I could have eaten all day. The highlight of the evening was their current weekly special, Wild Boar Ravioli. The raviolis are filled with a house-made wild boar chorizo served on top of a bed of lentils, sauteed with bacon, tomatoes, roasted fennel and Brussels sprouts then topped with a brown butter sauce and shredded trumpet mushrooms.

Definitely a place I will be returning to as often as possible.
