Student Robbed In North Seattle Park

By Jonah Spangenthal-Lee November 2, 2010

A large group of young men robbed a student walking home through a North Seattle park last week

According to a police report, the student got off a Metro bus at 35th NE and NE 105—just down the street from Nathan Hale High School—around 4:30pm on October 28th, and headed east through the Meadowbrook Pond wetlands.

As the boy walked through the park, a group of seven or eight suspects approached him, took his backpack, cellphone, and TI-34 calculator.

The when the boy asked for his stuff back, one of the suspects told him "he'd give them back if [the victim] would pay," a report says.

When the victim told the suspects he didn't have any money, one of the suspects grabbed his wallet and took his ORCA bus card.

The suspects walked off through the park, and the victim went home and called 911.
