More Election Results: Feingold Getting Destroyed, Buck Losing Narrowly in CO
As we wait for election results to drop here on the West Coast:
• In the Colorado Senate race, Democrat Michael Bennet is currently narrowly beating Republican Ken Buck, 51 to 47.
• In Wisconsin, incumbent Sen. Russ Feingold is getting destroyed by GOP challenger Ron Johnson, who's winning 57 to 42.
• In Ohio, Democratic Governor Ted Strickland is losing to GOP challenger John Kasich, 50 to 47.
• In the Colorado governor's race, the guy Chris was most worried about, Republican Tom Tancredo, has lost to Democrat John Hickenlooper, 53 to 37.
• In Oklahoma, voters have approved a measure that prohibits the state from requiring residents to have health insurance;
• In news that will surprise no one but that's disappointing to this expat Texan (and Houstonian), Texas Republican Gov. Rick "Goodhair" Perry has won reelection against the former mayor of Houston, Democrat Bill White.
• In West Virginia, Democratic Gov. Joe Manchin defeated Republican John Raese for US Senate.
• In Georgia, Republican Nathan Deal---whose Democratic opponent, Roy Barnes, campaigned against big road projects and vowed to build high-speed rail---is winning by a margin of more than ten points.
