A man sustained a nasty head wound when he was jumped near Northgate last week.
victim showed up at SPD's North Precinct several days after the incident, and told an officer that several days earlier, he'd been jumped in front of Northgate Mall.
The man told officers he was walking in the Northgate parking lot between 2 and 2:30 pm when two other men walked up behind him and hit him in the back of the head, knocking him unconscious and sending him tumbling to the ground.
When the man awoke some time later, he stumbled home, where his roommate told him he had a significant amount of blood covering his back and neck.
The victim then called 911, walked outside of his home, and passed out again.
The man came to at Northwest Hospital, where "doctors told him he was struck in the back of the head with either [a] 'knife or brass knuckles,'" according to a police report.
The man received six staples in the back of his head to close the half-inch deep gash suffered in the attack.
The man told police the suspects were a black male in his 30s wearing a red hoodie, and a Hispanic male in his 30s, about 5'8 with a stocky build.
