The Morning Blotter: Student Misses Bus, Gets Jumped In West Seattle

By Jonah Spangenthal-Lee October 19, 2010

A West Seattle High School student told police he was attacked on the street after he missed his bus.

According to a police report, the ran to his bus stop at 16th Av SW and SW Holden just after 7:00am on October 14th, but had already missed his bus.

The teen told police he walked to another bus stop, and was waiting on the street when several suspects approached him, and one of them punched him in the eye and took his wallet.

Two other suspects then joined in, and punched him in the stomach.

No one else was on the street during the assault and "the overhead streetlights had just gone off," the report says.

The suspects then took the teen's money out of his wallet and ran off.

The teen eventually made his way to school and went to the nurse's office. The report indicates the school nurse wasn't able to find any significant injuries on the teen, but gave him an ice pack for his eye.

The teen was then sent to class.

I went to the nurse's office a lot in middle school to get out of class, but I don't think I ever came up with a story that was this elaborate.

In other news, why don't people wear their clothes backwards anymore?
