On Other Sites: Seattle Times Pulls Endorsement
The Seattle Times rescinded its endorsement
of state Supreme Court Justice Richard Sanders this weekend after recent statements Sanders' made about blacks having a "crime problem"—because, you know, those people commit a disproportionate percent of crimes. Sanders apparently dismissed a long list of social factors, like inadequate legal representation and policing policies, that affect African Americans.
The Times, which pulled its Sanders endorsement yesterday, is now endorsing Sanders' opponent, Charlie Wiggins.
PubliCola endorsed Wiggins, a Bainbridge Island attorney, as one our early No Brainer PubliCola Picks.
