Extra Fizz: Murray and Rossi Agree on Second Debate

By Josh Feit October 6, 2010

Earlier this week, Sen. Patty Murray's campaign complained to the press that Dino Rossi was stalling on confirming the details for a second debate. The Murray camp wanted the debate to happen the weekend of October 15, the weekend that ballots went out. But the Rossi camp (according to Murray's folks) wanted to delay it a week.

No good, the Murray campaign said; that wouldn't give voters a good chance to see the candidates square off before mailing in their ballots.

This just in: The second debate has been set for the 17th. It's being broadcast by KOMO—on TV, web, and radio statewide.

The first debate had already been scheduled for the 14th. It's in Spokane and will be broadcast by KCTS in Seattle.
