Another Poll Puts Murray on Top 51-43
And this seems to be how it goes: Murray back up.
A Time/CNN poll released today has Sen. Patty Murray up 51 to 43 among a sample of 850 likely voters over Republican challenger Dino Rossi. (The larger sample of voters from the same poll, which adds another 660 voters who aren't qualified as "likely," narrowed Murray's lead to 48-44.)
For weeks now, the Murray vs. Rossi polls bounce back and forth. The gap is slightly smaller for Murray on this bounce back. Rossi was down nine in mid-September, according to the same poll, compared to eight in the new poll.
