Man Gets a Face Full of Pepper Spray After Dispute In South Seattle

By Jonah Spangenthal-Lee September 17, 2010

As reader Mappy pointed out in the comments on this post yesterday, criminals have apparently discovered the wonders of less-lethal weapons. Yay (?)

Around noon on September 11th, police got a call about a fight at Rainier and Cloverdale.

Officers arrived at the scene and found a man who said he'd been jumped and pepper sprayed.

The man told officers he had exchanged words with a group of men who had shouted at him from across the street. The group then came across the street and confronted the victim.

One of the suspects punched the victim while another suspect pepper sprayed him.

The victim ran across the street to his cousin's house, and the suspects fled in a brown 1990s Honda hatchback.

The victim told police he did not know the suspects.
