I'm not a restaurant critic or much of a gourmet (ask my office mates about what I eat for lunch ... yum Pop Tarts), but this Indian spot on 2nd Avenue in downtown Seattle (just a block south of Pike) is great.

I fell in love with the mellow atmosphere the second I walked in. (I think it's a mad buffet scene during lunch, but I went for dinner.)

The food (menu) was tasty (check out the mulligatany soup) and tastier (I had the Saag Aloo).  The service was lovely and fast. And yum mango lassi.

Extensive veggie menu too.
