Two Assaults Downtown...
From the SPD Blotter:
On August 13th at approximately 8:00 p.m. officers responded to a report of an assault in the 300 block of Pike Street. Upon arrival the adult male victim was discovered unresponsive in the fetal position on the sidewalk bleeding from a head wound. The suspect was gone upon the officers’ arrival.
SFD medics responded and subsequently transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers interviewed a witness, who provided an excellent suspect description. Officers then located and arrested the suspect a few blocks away.
The 27-year-old male suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Assault. The circumstances leading up to the assault are unknown at this time.
Gang Unit detectives responded to the scene and continue to actively investigate.
And:
On August 14th at approximately 1:30 a.m. officers on patrol downtown observed approximately four to five males standing on the corner of 1st Avenue and Bell Street when suddenly one male punched another, knocking him to the ground. Once the victim was on the ground the suspect went over and stomped on him. Moments later officers intervened and arrested the suspect.
The victim was treated at the scene by SFD medics and transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was subsequently booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Assault.
