The Morning Blotter: Ruffians Threaten Man With Sword, Sawed-Off Shotgun In SoDo

By Jonah Spangenthal-Lee August 27, 2010

Seattle police arrested two men in SoDo earlier this week after the pair allegedly pulled a sawed-off shotgun and a sword on another man, and threatened to kill him.

Around 11:15pm on August 24th, police received a 911 call from a man, who said the dastardly duo had brandished their weapons, used the sword to hack up a tree, and then threatened to kill him near 4th and Holgate.

Officers stopped the suspects, and found an 18-inch sword, wrapped in a white towel in one man's bag.

According to the report, the sword-wielding suspect's accomplice handed the shotgun off to another man, who rode away from the scene on a bicycle before police arrived.

Police booked the two armed men into the King County Jail for harassment.
