One of three teens convicted of killing Seattle's "Tuba Man" was convicted Monday in a January robbery committed shortly after his release in the manslaughter case.

The youth, 16, was part of a group of teens who attacked Edward McMichael -- a well-known street musician who'd long been a fixture at Seattle sporting events -- in October 2008. McMichael, 53, died after being released from the hospital from injuries sustained during the attack; three teens pleaded guilty to manslaughter charges in the attack.

Hearing the new case in King County Juvenile Court, Judge Mary Yu found the teen guilty of second-degree robbery, a King County Prosecutor's Office spokesman said Monday.

The teen faced a single charge related to a Jan. 22 incident at a Central District youth center. The robbery occurred shortly after the boy completed his sentence in McMichael's death.
