A 24-year-old Seattle man is facing felony charges on allegations that he beat and robbed a man on Capitol Hill after deriding him for being gay.

Filing malicious harassment charges, King County prosecutors contend Hakeem Ahmed Musa attacked the man just after 2 a.m. Aug. 2 in the 800 block of East Pine Street.

According to charging documents, the man told police Musa approached him on the sidewalk and asked him if he wanted to have a drink. When the man declined, a Seattle police detective told the court, Musa yelled, "This dude is gay!" and punched him in the face.
