On Other Blogs Today: Gawker Lambasts Stranger Writer (and Stranger Genius Award Winner!) as "Insane."

By Bryce McKay August 12, 2010

1. Sam Taylor with the Bellingham Herald
's Politics Blog has an interesting video mash-up: Sen. Patty Murray   v. Washington State Republicans on Boeing. The gist: Murray brags about Boeing beating out Airbus, while Republicans note that Boeing moved its headquarters and the 787 assembly plant out of state.

2. Gawker takes on a post by Stranger
writer Charles Mudede, calling his post "insane." Which it is. We still love you Charles (at least Josh does.) Erica is mad at you again.

3. Peter Callaghan at the Tacoma News Tribune
's is leveling some serious charges against Patty Murray's FMAP victory from last week: namely, he doesn't think it will save as many jobs as she says it will—or at least, there's no hard evidence. It's a long post but it's juicy enough to spend the time on.

4. The Seattle Times has two big updates on the Rossi/Murray race, both with same bad news for Sen. Murray. The Washington Post and the Cook Political Report both call the race a toss up heading into primaries.
