On Other Blogs Today: Rossi, Didier, Akers Square Off in Times Ed Board Debate

By Josh Feit August 4, 2010

1. Seattle Times reporter Jim Brunner has a fat piece featuring excerpts from the Times ed board meeting today where the three GOP candidates challenging Democratic U.S. Sen. Patty Murray were interviewed together. Brunner, who says he's publishing more on it tomorrow, cherry picks some great stuff from the interview on Afghanistan, immigration, and climate change to suss out the differences between these three conservatives.

As usual, Didier is especially quotable.

2. There were lots of posts about the gay marriage ruling in California today (we already linked Chris Grygiel's post at the PI in ourĀ  interview with state Sen. Ed Murray).

But for gay rights coverage, stick with the Slog. Eli Sanders filed this editorial.

3. The had two stories we missed today: Sen. Patty Murray is doing a huge TV ad buy and the city council's public safety committe confirmed John Diaz as Seattle's next police cheif, unanimously sending his name to the full council.
