Homeless Man Says He Was Slashed In Georgetown "For No Apparent Reason"
A "well-known" homeless man told police another man armed with a knife attacked him in Georgetown "for no apparent reason" last weekend, according to a police report.
Shortly after 1:00am on August 15th, police found the homeless man laying in the street near Corson Ave S and S Bailey, bleeding from his face.
The victim told officers a man wearing a white hat, white t-shirt, and creased jeans had slashed him while he was "lying down on the ground at 4th Ave S and S Michigan St."
The suspect walked up to the victim, pulled out a pocket knife and slashed the victim's mouth, according to the report, before he left without saying a word.
It appears medics transported the victim to a hospital for treatment. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.
