Two gang members are facing charges for opening fire on a Pioneer Square apartment building late last month after neighbors told the pair they were making too much noise on the street.

Several residents of the apartment building told police they were out on a rooftop deck around 2:00am July 31st, when Paul Dervin, 28, and Mila Adams, 24, began "talking loud and being obnoxious" on the street several floors below.

The residents of the building tried to get the pair to quiet down, police records say, and when that failed, one resident used a garden hose to spray Adam.

Adams began shouting at the residents, and then went into her car, retrieved a handgun, pointed it at the rooftop deck and fired two or three shots.

Adams and Dervin then drove off.

Police stopped the pair—who, court records say, are brother and sister—at a sandwich shop at 4th and Lander and questioned them about the shooting. A police report notes Adams was soaking when when stopped by police.

Adams told police she had been in a fight at the Aura nightclub and her keys had been stolen. She claimed when she returned to her car, she found a woman going through her vehicle and purse, and fired off her gun during a struggle with the thief.

Police didn't buy Adams' story, and arrested the pair for the shooting.

Police records say Adams is a member of the Union Street Hustlers BGD gang, and say Dervin is a 44th St Holly Crip on federal probation for weapons and assault charges.
