I was at a wedding this weekend in Port Townsend attended by both Mayor Mike McGinn and former Mayor Greg Nickels. (Local politico Marco Lowe, a longtime Nickels staffer who now heads up the Office of Governmental Relations for Mayor McGinn, was getting hitched.)

I wasn't there as a reporter, but I did talk to both mayors. (I was seated at Nickels' table and later on, after dinner, I sat with McGinn for a while. Their tables were at opposite sides of the reception room, and during the casual outdoor ceremony—on a pier—they stood on opposite ends of the crowd.)

The one thing I will report is this: Nickels wore a tie. McGinn did not. You can spot them both in this  shot taken right after the ceremony (via Facebook).
