The cameraman who captured images earlier this year of an ethnically charged and violent incident by Seattle police near Lake Union now has his own trouble with the law.
Jud Morris was booked into jail Thursday after he was found with cameras that belong to Q13 Fox, the station for which he once worked, said Det. Ed Troyer with Pierce County Sheriff's Office.
Late last month, Troyer said the Seattle TV station contacted Seattle police after an equipment inventory showed that two cameras were missing.
"We had reason to believe that Jud Morris was in possession of at least one of the two missing cameras after several field crews, while out on assignments, observed him shooting video with what appeared to be our camera," General Manager Pam Pearson said in a statement Friday.
