We got a tip today about a shooting last night at 7:15pm, when CDNews was coincidentally hanging out at a crime forum.

It all started when a witness near 18th & Main heard a gunshot, then heard a man scream "I've been shot." The witness saw the victim fall to the ground, then a woman in a white Chevy Tahoe drove up, offered assistance, loaded up the victim, and drove away northbound. 

That started a search around the neighborhood for the Tahoe (registered to an Auburn address) and the victim. That search came up empty until an hour later, at 8:15pm, when a man walked into Swedish Cherry Hill hospital with a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to Harborview for treatment. SPD spokesperson Renee Witt tells us that the victim was interviewed by gang detectives at the hospital.
