Just before 11:00am, medics were called to a home in the 4600 block of S Chicago

An elderly woman is inside the home, and apparently owns a handgun, but it's not yet clear why police were called to the scene.

Patrol units called for the SWAT team, which is now on scene, and negotiators are en route.

UPDATE @ 1:00pm: Police are releasing units from the scene. It sounds like maybe no one was home.
