Police Investigating Shooting In South Seattle

Seattle police tell us they're investigating a shooting in South Seattle.

Officers were called to the 9700 block of 57th Ave S, near Hutchinson Park, at 6:22pm.

We've heard that one man was shot in the arm, but haven't been able to confirm that with police.

More when we get it.

Update @ 6:55pm:
SPD says the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Police are still looking for the suspect.

On July 14th at approximately 6:20 p.m. officers responded to a shooting that occurred outside a residence in the 9700 block of 57th Avenue South. Responding officers are still actively investigating this incident. Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim male was shot in the upper arm and is currently being treated on scene by SFD medics for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspects fled the scene in a blue and white 1980’s Buick 4-door sedan. The shooter is described as a black male, 19-20 years of age, wearing a white shirt and armed with a handgun. The driver of the suspect vehicle is described as a heavy-set black female wearing a teal-colored shirt. Both suspects remain at large.

Anyone with information about this incident or who may know the identities or whereabouts of the suspects is asked to call 911 or Seattle Police and refer to this incident.
