Police Arrest Sixteen In Operation Fast Track
SPD gang detectives say they've arrested 16 men and women as part of Operation Fast Track, a six-month police investigation targeting the pimps and johns who prey on teen girls in Seattle.
So far, police have busted four men for promoting prostitution, picked up five suspected pimps on unrelated charges, and arrested seven adult prostitutes. Eleven of those arrests were made within the first 24 hours of the operation.
Police say they haven't arrested and juveniles as part of the operation.
Detectives are now working with other law enforcement agencies on the next phase of the operation, which we'll have an update on soon.
