On Other Blogs Today

1. Chris Grygiel at the PI's Strange Bedfellows covers the back-and-forth between Rossi and Murray over the Bush-era tax cuts: Rossi says they helped millions of Washingtonians; Murray says they caused the massive federal deficit.

2. Lauren at Capitol Hill Seattle coversĀ  rumors about a street-vendor food court (!) on Broadway.

3. The Seattle Transit Blog went a little bit deeper into the crosstabs on the KING-5 poll.

Highlights: support for the tunnel is lowest in West Seattle; a majority of downtown residents think downtown property owners should pay for cost overruns; and "The typical sex/age biases show up. Men support the project more and worry less about costs than women. Young voters support the project more and worry less about costs than older voters."

4. Dino Rossi made the news again today at the Tacoma News Tribune's Political Buzz. It turns out that a watchdog group called Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) picked Rossi as one of the crookedest congressional candidates in the country.

5. Chip Hanlon's Red County blog has a nice little scoop today: John Landenberg, former Pierce County Prosecutor, has formed an exploratory committee for the Attorney General race in 2012, signaling his interest in the potentially open seat, when the current Republican AG, Rob McKenna runs for governor.
