Gang Unit Investigating Pratt Park Shooting

We've got a few more details on last week's shooting near Pratt Park.


According to a police report released Friday, officers were called to 18th Ave S and S Main St after receiving reports of gunfire, and a man screaming in the street at about 7:15pm on July 20th.


When officers arrived, witnesses said a white sedan had fled the scene following the shooting, and a woman in a white Chevy Tahoe had pulled up a short time later and helped the victim into the SUV.


Gang unit detectives were called out to the scene—where officers recovered a bullet fragment from the street—and to Harborview, where the met up with the victim, who is apparently in his early 20s.


According to the report, the victim sustained a gunshot wound through his left knee, and needed surgery.
