Gang Detectives Investigating South Seattle Shooting
A man shot near Hutchison Park in South Seattle last Wednesday told police he was standing on a street corner at 57th Ave S and S Pilgrim Street when a "white, older, four door sedan" pulled up next to him, and a man in the back seat opened fire.
According to a police report, the man told officers a young woman was behind the wheel, another man was riding shotgun, and the gunman—described in the report as being in his late teens or early 20s with "heavily tattooed arms, with words written in 'Old English' type letters"—was riding in back.
The man in the back seat pointed a handgun at the victim and said "don't move," before he fired one, or possibly two shots, striking the man in his upper left arm.
The car sped off—the police report indicates a witness may have followed the vehicle—and the victim was later transported to Harborview with non-life-threatening injuries.
Gang detectives are handling the case.
