White Powder Sent to Seattle Courthouse, Seven Other Federal Offices
White powder found at eight federal buildings in the Northwest triggered evacuations and medical responses Monday.
Envelopes containing a white powder were found at federal building in three states: Washington, Idaho, and Utah.
In Washington the powder was found an IRS building in Bellevue, the federal courthouse in Seattle, and a FBI building in Spokane. In Idaho, at a U.S. Attorney's Office in Boise, a FBI office in Pocatello, and two federal buildings in Coeur d'Alene. The FBI office in Salt Lake City also received a letter with a substance.
The feds say the mysterious white powder was probably calcium bicarbonate.
I guess somneone didn't get the memo that the whole sending-someone-white-powder-in-the-mail meme is sooooooo 2001.
