Weekend Update: More Bad News
Here's a rundown of the cases SPD posted about this weekend:
Stabbing in Belltown:
On 6/18/10 at approximately 7:00 p.m., officers responded to the 2300 block of 4th Ave. to a reported stabbing. The victim is the manager of an apartment building in the area. Leading up to the stabbing, the victim was trying to remove the suspect and several other people from unit #205. The suspect became upset and stabbed the victim in the upper arm.
There was a great witness on scene. She used her cell phone to call 911 as she kept an eye on the fleeing suspect. Officers were on scene very quickly and were able to locate and arrest the suspect without incident.
The suspect was later booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Assault. The victim was treated on scene by Seattle Fire Department. It is unknown if he was transported to the hospital.
Beating in Belltown:
On 6/20/10, at approximately 2:40 a.m., the victim was walking from a nightclub with his girlfriend in the 2300 block of 1st ave., when four Hispanic males started to “cat call” the victim’s girlfriend. The victim took offense to this and confronted the suspects. The four suspects punched the victim several times. The victim was knocked unconscious. Officers arrived and conducted an area check for the suspects but they were not located.
The victim was transported to Harbor view Medical Center for treatment.
Teen Girl Arrested For Robbery:
On 6/18/10, at approximately 3:45 p.m., the juvenile victim was walking through an apartment complex at Rainier Av S. and S. Fontanelle St. when three suspects approached him (two females and one male). The male suspect grabbed both of the victim’s arms and said “give me something” and one of the female suspects then dispalyed a handgun.
The male suspect took approximately $20 and they eventually let the victim go. The victim ran home and call 911. While officers were conducting an area search, they saw the female suspect who had the handgun, at Rainier Av S. and S. Mrytle St. The female suspect was arrested without incident.
The female suspect was later booked into Youth Service Center. The handgun (airsoft pellet gun) was recovered and placed into evidence. An area search for the other two suspects was negative.
