The teenager who was captured on video beating the hell out of another teen in the Downtown Transit Tunnel while security guards looked on has pleaded guilty in juvenile court.
A 15-year-old Seattle girl pleaded guilty Tuesday to second-degree assault in connection with the infamous bus-tunnel beating of another 15-year-old girl which was captured on surveillance video.
The girl, who is not being named by The Times because she was prosecuted as a juvenile, was initially charged with first-degree robbery. But the prosecutor's office said additional investigation did not provide enough evidence to prove robbery was the motive. She faces up to 36 weeks in juvenile detention when she is sentenced on June 21, according to the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
Friends and relatives of the six suspects arrested in connection with the attack say that the 15-year-old defendant and the girl she beat up, Aiesha Steward-Baker, had a longstanding dispute.
