Guided by the general themes of states rights (the 10th Amendment) and limited government, the official GOP platform, released today with a video, includes: reinstate I-960, the two-thirds rule governing tax increase votes by the state legislature; no "cap & trade" bill; repeal President Obama's health care reform bill; yea voucher and charter schools, nay Obama's federalization of student loans (something Dino Rossi has hit on the campaign trail); nay on gay marriage; repeal the Growth Management Act; no card check union elections (an issue of debate
between GOP challenger Rossi and Democratic incumbent U.S. Sen. Patty Murray); and no takings.

Re: Takings, we do wonder if they've  talked to GOP AG Rob McKenna about his refusal to step in and prevent a takings in Okanogan County that Democratic State Lands Commissioner Peter Goldmark is fighting?
