1. Joel Connelly at the PI's Strange Bedfellow's blog reports that American Crossroads, the brand new Republican brain trust/war chest is making nice with Dino Rossi. Connelly notes that Patty Murray is one of six Democrats that American Crossroads hopes to oust this year.

2. Jaime Herrera and David Castillo have clearly decided it’s time to stop playing nice in their race for the de facto Republican nomination in the 3rd U.S. Congressional District (Southwest Washington).

“Castillo said he would make tough decisions in Congress against spending and told the group Herrera had helped majority Democrats in the Legislature to spend more by raiding the state's rainy day fund of $229 million.”

“Herrera struck back, saying it was wrong to distort her vote on the rainy day fund. "To mischaracterize that as spending should show you the character and integrity of the two people standing before you," she said.”
