Last night, I saw Gordos, a SIFF feature at the Egyptian. It was a knee-slapper—a dark comedy about five overweight Spaniards who meet in group therapy.

Each of them eventually comes to some sort of peace with their weight, I think, but not before they experience some bizarre episodes—including having sex for the first time under a glow-in-the-dark Jesus on a crucifix or marrying a deceased business partner's widow as a homosexual only to discover a repressed heterosexuality.

My final verdict: Go see it at Pacific Place Cinema tomorrow.
