The two major criticisms people/I have lobbed at Interim Chief John Diaz is that he isn't the most charismatic guy in the world, and isn''t great at dealing with the press.

For example: today, at a press conference at the West Precinct, Diaz began stepped up to the podium dropped this doozy:

"First of all, let me apologize. I managed to damage my throat. And no, I didn't try to hang myself."

Oy.
