A Campaign Contribution for Rossi?
Jim Brunner at the Seattle Times has the news
that a planned third installment of a series of real estate seminars starring GOP U.S. Senate candidate Dino Rossi has been canceled.
The organizers of the conference, as Brunner reports, were wary that the conference might be considered a campaign contribution to Rossi.
Could be.
However, given all the negative attention the conferences heaped on Rossi—they focused on cashing in on the foreclosure market—the seminars were more helpful to Democratic incumbent U.S. Sen. Patty Murray. If anything, the organizers should have been worried that their events would count as contributions to the Democrats .
Seriously, watch for the Democrats to use some of the promos from the real estate forums, which include advice about buying waterfront homes at foreclosure acutions, in Murray's campaign ads.
