Teens Arrested For Burglarizing South Seattle School

By Jonah Spangenthal-Lee May 24, 2010

You'd think kids would want to stay away from school on the weekends! Hi-yo!

On May 23rd at approximately 2:34 a.m. officers responded to a burglar alarm at a school located in the 4700 block of 32 Avenue South.  As officers arrived and began surrounding the school, three male suspects fled the building.  One suspect was taken into custody at the scene, while the other two fled on foot.  Officers located and arrested the two outstanding suspects after a successful canine track.  A check of the building revealed that the suspects had stockpiled a substantial quantity of beer and wine in a locker there, apparently anticipating it’s consumption.

The suspects, all 14-year-old males, were declined by the Youth Service Center.  They were interviewed and released from the South Precinct pending further investigation.
