Is this Rainier Beach or Mendocino County? SPD Blotter has the details:

Narcotics Detectives hit the mother load, recovering nearly $1 mil in marijuana grow op.

On 5/26/2010, at approximately 1:30 p.m., narcotics detectives were contacted by a patrol  Sergeant and asked to respond to the 6000 block of Redwing St to investigate a Marijuana Grow Operation.

Patrol officers responded to a disturbance call at the above location and when patrol officers arrived, they spotted an individual in the yard.  That person ran from officers when told to stop.

Officers investigated and found that there were signs of attempted entry into the premise.  Officers also heard what they believed to be screaming coming from inside the residence.

Officers made entry and found 4 persons inside the residence.  They also found a handgun and the grow operation.  One of the persons inside had visible signs of an assault, and was treated by Seattle Fire Department at the scene.

Narcotics detectives responded to assess the situation and size of the grow operation.  Seattle City Light was contacted along with the SPD Evidence Section to stand by.  Detectives wrote a Narcotics Search Warrant.  The Search Warrant was signed and served on the residence.

City Light responded to make their assessment and render the premise safe for detectives to collect evidence.  The evidence collected was: Approximately 970 plants (Mature and Starter) and 79 pieces of equipment.  Total value is approximately $985,800.

Four adult males were arrested at the scene and booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act.
