PubliCalendar: Weekend Edition

This weekend's calendar:

The "World Peace Parade" starts at the Vietnamese Catholic Church and winds through the Central District on Saturday night.

Saturday, 6:00 pm, 1230 E Fir Street.

University of Washington students are launching their own food cooperative, which will include food grown on campus, and they're holding a fundraiser to buy a food cart to help them with distribution.

Saturday, 6:00 pm, OmCulture, 2210 N. Pacific St. $11 students, $18 general public.

The Fremont Criterium Bike Race, featuring cash and merchandise prizes, happens this Sunday.

Sunday, 10:00 am, Phinney Avenue N and N 35th Street. Registration $25, free for kids.


Help pack bags of rice, beans, and vegetables to send to Haiti earthquake survivors at A Million Meals for Haiti this weekend.

Saturday, 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Sunday, 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, Washington State Convention Center, 800 Convention Center Place.
