The Seattle Pedestrian Advisory Board, which advises the city council on pedestrian issues, meets tonight at 6; the agenda includes a briefing on the First Hill streetcar.

The 34th District Democrats will duke it out over their endorsement in the contested 34th District state House race.

Today is the last day to vote for your favorite historic place(s) in the Partners in Preservation contest, which will award $1 million in historic preservation grants. On the Seattle list: Town Hall (pictured below), King Street Station, the 5th Avenue Theatre, and more.

Tomorrow's calendar:

The Seattle Free School is holding a (free, obviously) class on keeping chickens (up to eight are now allowed) in the city.

The Seattle Parks board will be briefed tomorrow on the parks budget, which is faced with cuts next year to help close a $56 million budget gap.

Citizens have until this coming Sunday, May 16, to fill out a survey that will help shape the Seattle Public Library's strategic plan, a guide to the library's priorities and future service.
