Police Recover Vehicle Believed To Be Connected To Stun Gun Robberies
Seattle police are on the hunt for a group suspected of using a stun gun on several women in a series of robberies in North Seattle.
It appears the string of robberies began in Phinney Ridge last week. As we first reported, at about 1:45pm on May 17th, a woman was unloading her car outside of her apartment at 42nd and Phinney Av N. when "she felt an eletric current on the right side of her neck" and was pushed down onto the trunk of her car. The woman saw a man grab her purse and then walk over to an Asian woman standing nearby, before they both climbed inside a small gray or silver sedan—which was sporting stolen plates—and took off.
Again on May 19th, another woman was unloading her car in her garage in the 9300 22nd Ave NW when two men approached her. The woman told police she heard the clicking sound of a stun gun, and then fell to the ground. The robbers stole the woman's purse and again fled in a gray vehicle.
The most recent attack came on May 20th after the suspects used a stun gun on another woman as she was unloading her car at her home on 102nd and Fremont Ave N.
Following the robbery, police recovered the suspects' vehicle in the parking lot of a church at 132nd and Palatine. Police say the car stolen, and was also sporting stolen plates.
